SENATOR IBRAHIM MUSA DIES AFTER ILLNESS.

Senator Ibrahim Musa

Senator Ibrahim Musa Kontagora former Nigerian Senator has died after a brief illness.

He represented Niger North under the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) from 2011 to 2015. He earned respect as a staunch loyalist of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Niger State government announced his passing in a statement released by Abubakar Usman, the secretary to the state government. Musa died in Abuja, leaving behind a legacy of service to his constituents and the nation.

Reports indicate that Senator Ibrahim Musa Kontagora faced a medical emergency at Nizamiye Hospital in Abuja. His family revealed that the hospital delayed critical surgery due to an unpaid balance of $15,000 on a $30,000 bill. They struggled to gather the funds, but by the time they secured the remaining amount, it was too late for the former senator.

The hospital confirmed its policy of requiring full payment before treatment but did not accept responsibility for the tragic outcome. Niger Governor Mohammed Bago and other politicians, including Senator Aliyu Abdullahi, expressed their condolences.

Senator Ibrahim Musa Kontagora leaves behind a wife and children.
