Tinubu hails APC dominance

President Bola Tinubu has praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its impressive performance in the recent bye-elections held on August 16. APC won in 12 out of 16 constituencies across 12 states, showcasing its dominance in the electoral landscape.

In a press release from Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the results highlighted the APC’s significant victories. The All Progressives Grand Alliance secured two constituencies, while the Peoples Democratic Party and the New Nigeria Peoples Party each won one.

Tinubu commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting smooth elections with minimal violence. He also recognized the leadership of the newly appointed APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for guiding the party to this success. The president emphasized that Yilwatda’s leadership proved effective when popular candidates are selected, and party unity is prioritized.
